Day 98

I found this site that tests you and places you on a politics chart. I line up with the Dali Lama, am directly below Gahndi, and fall not far from Nelson Mandela (equaling a kind of liberal leftist):

How about you?

Day 92

92) Attend 10 live performances (1/10) SF Mime Troupe: Making A Killing 7/4/07

On the fourth of July I met Trinity and her friends to watch the SF Mime Troupe perform Making A Killing in Dolores Park. It was my first time seeing them, and I was impressed. The story comments on the responsibility we have to countries we invade and influence as we have a negative impact more often than not. It really took a stabbing at the Bush administration (what doesn't these days?), particularly Dick Cheney. It was very humorous... and a little saddening, though often humor springs from sadness... you know, in coping. Over lunch the other day Zack and I were discussing how comedians are the revolutionaries of our time, though not solely our time, when you think of say, Shakespeare, and even in Rome live theater was used to poke fun at those in power. But when the laughter subsides I'm left wondering how things are really going to change for the better.
